Children’s Feeding Programs

Food security is a serious problem in El Salvador, whether it be in the capital city of San Salvador, in the countryside or in the mountain villages children are suffering from malnutrition due to not receiving enough food. 

Extreme poverty and COVID-19 has meant that thousands of children are only receiving one meal every second day.

Throughout the country vulnerable families living in extreme poverty are crippled by lack of food and unable to provide for their children’s most basic needs. This situation leaves families helpless, heartbroken and facing a serious food crisis.

Since 2009 Salvador’s HOPE has responded to this immediate need through our children’s feeding program, providing food parcels and emergency relief food packages to families.
